Break away from routine, and look up to Heaven
Oh Jesus. Forgive us. We are too comfortable, we have become accustomed to the mundane.
But it is all we know,
can we be blamed for this?
Oh yes! For our hearts cry out day and night for Heaven.
But we hush it down with short term lovers.
We stuff ourselves with all the wrong things, as someone who has not eaten in a long time.
We stuff ourselves with the first things we find because we do not like feeling hungry; we do not like feeling empty.
Oh Jesus. Forgive us.
Will I be ready when you come? Will I, already be filled with earthly lovers? Or will I be hungry and expectant for your return?
Oh Lord, I will be satisfied when I awaken, as a lover of You!
